We are continuously welcoming new applications from students and others eager to learn how a web-based non-profit organisation promotes social change through outreach and the promotion and distribution of knowledge. Interns are assigned specific tracks depending on their interests and skills.

Marketing and Publicity Interns will have the opportunity to work with the Coordinator who is responsible for strategizing and directing marketing and publicity initiatives for the web edition of Enkidu Magazine as well as Enkidu Magazine's outreach events and social and cultural activities. This is a particularly exiting and challenging work environment as the Internet is in many ways still is a virgin market in Mexico, with explosive possibilities for growth.

Enkidu Magazine organises throughout the year, a wide range of cultural and social activities stretching from art exhibitions, charity events, book presentations, concerts, theatre plays, film screenings and public lectures to academic conferences and outreach activities for various groups. Marketing and publicity interns will assist in developing and executing promotion campaigns, information and communications strategies (addressing media, the general public, organisations and enterprises) for the various events that are being organised during your internship. 

The ideal intern candidate will have strong a strong interest in marketing, publicity, sales branding and strategy combined with social commitment and a sincere interest in global social issues. Candidates should have experience and interest in organizing public activities and events of al categories from the conception through execution. Marketing and research experience and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Experience in writing/editing for a Web audience as well as editorial experience and/or experience from academic institutions dedicated to research and publishing is a plus. The intern will assist with preparing seasonal marketing materials, updating media lists, processing review mailings, writing publicity and marketing materials, etc. The candidate should have good communications skills, good organizational skills and possess the ability to work several different projects simultaneously. The ideal candidates should be able to think creatively, be motivated by self-initiative and possess resourcefulness; and work as members of a team.
