The Evening Life Tour on 23rd December 2006: “Hookah
Lounge” and “Hibrido Night Club”

It was late when my eyes saw daylight, but the firm purpose of
celebrating a birthday made me wake up!
Yeya’s birthday is on Christmas Eve, but, as you can imagine, we
celebrated the night before that.
As our friend Gaby had just arrived from France, we decided to start
the evening by going to a restaurant… but we didn’t want to go to just
any simple and average restaurant, it was going to be a very special
celebration, we were going to take advantage of the reunion to celebrate
Christmas and New Year.
Deciding was quite simple; we would be going to smoke shisha at “Hookah
Lounge”; what is great about the place is that it has a very well
defined style regarding food, drinks and people.
Yeya, Richie, Gaby and I hopped into the car and moved trough Mexico
City to get there; as we entered, we emmerged into the Arabic atmosphere
surrounding us, and immediately took a seat on the floor to start starring
at the menu.
First of all we had to decide from a wide variety of shishas,
recommended combinations and different drinks to put into the hookah;
finally, we decided to make our own combination with two middle flavored
tobaccos and vodka.
Thereafter, a first course was necessary, the menu had plenty of Arabic
fusion food, and cheese fingers served with coriander sausage, (which has
a special name that I can’t remember) they looked very tasteful to me,
so we decided to order that.
Then, it was time for drinks and a toast to and we settled for an
absinthe as a starter.
Just a few minutes later, hookah, food and drinks arrived; everything
was as we expected… perfect!
After a few hours laughing, drinking, eating and smoking, we were in
the mood for dancing, so, we moved towards Zona Rosa.
After parking the car we decided that “Hibrido Night Club” was
going to be the place for the night.
At the very entrance Rigo, the PR-representative, came to welcome us,
immediately we went upstairs to the VIP area because we knew the show was
about to begin.
The place was crowded, nevertheless a table is always granted to us, so
we took our seats, asked for a few drinks and waited for the show to
start.
By the time drinks arrived, it started, as great as always we could see
a “diamond dogs” performance with hot go-go dancers.
Just after the show music started to get louder, we started dancing; I
got very surprised when country music started to be played from DJ’s
box, and Rigo was distributing cowboy hats among the audience… that was
very funny.
Totally unexpectedly, I ran into my lawyer and started dancing with him…
but after such a night we were all tired, so with a smile in our faces and
the Christmas spirit in our hearts we went home.
We, at Enkidu Magazine, really appreciate all
facilities given at “HOOKAH LOUNGE” and “HIBRIDO NIGHT CLUB” for
the creation of this article. And we would like to use this lines to
send our thanks to all the wonderful personnel working in both places.
