Aids
and Underdevelopment
In recent years underdevelopment
and culture have become the greatest influence in the spread of aids in
Africa. Underdevelopment by means of Poor leadership. Creating uncertainty
and fear amongs the population. Culturaly, by means of believe .
So long as our leaders do not
analyse the social problems and tackle them correctly, we cannot achieve
prefarable goal in our fight to surpress the further development of Aids.
Leadership have in the past circulated within a group of people who seat
on a table to make decision. Creating possibilities where choices can be
that which will benefit individuals rather than the nation. By means of
letting this pass away, there is an atmosphere of: Surpression,
Intimidation, Supremacy. Because only a few fraction of the population can
achieve these status quo, the majority of the population is sent back to
their “shells”. Thereby occopying themselves with activities that ends
up putting not only the perpetuators but the world at risk. That is why we
cannot seat and cross our hands as if there is nothing happening.
On the otherhand, cultures have
become the broadest complexity in defining the nomes and responsibilities
of the different cultural or ethnic groups. The complexity in believe and
reasons for several activities or practices are enough reason to put all
of us at risk.
Aids and underdevelopment are two
social factor that grows almost simultanously together. If the world
cannont define the prons and cons of these “delimas”. Analysing in
detail every single factor, then we are not sure of acheving our utmost
goal for the millenium.
